Pakatan Rakyat leaders slammed Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali for his “threatening” words against DAP MP for Serdang Teo Nie Ching for entering a Malay prayer hall or surau, saying his remarks not only reflected Umno-BN’s low culture but were a sign Prime Minister Najib Razak was losing his grip on his party.
“It is so ironical that on Friday Najib called for zero tolerance against racism and today Ibrahim Ali is already using words like “Malcolm X” and “shot dead” on a non-Muslim who came to the surau with good intentions and very importantly was invited to enter by the organizing committee,” PAS Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad told Malaysia Chronicle.

His racial rhetoric has become wilder since Perkasa was formed earlier this year, which his detractors say was due to Malaysians, including many Malays, becoming weary of his sensationalizing and double-barreled bombast.
Some pundits also pointed to the power tussle brewing between Najib and Mahathir, where the older leader has been reluctant to let Najib promote his multiracial 1Malaysia plan. They see Ibrahim chipping in to help swing Malay support for Mahathir, who is Perkasa's patron.

“There is no need to sensationalize this way. Firstly, from the standpoint of hukum agama, it is not haram or illegal. Nie Ching has not violated Islamic ruling and even PAS spiritual adviser Nik Aziz has said so. Then from the standpoint of adat Melayu, only the ultra-Malays who are sensitive may not understand. But she has apologized to those who fall in this category.So who is Ibrahim Ali to talk about Malcom X and shooting people. He should not be a hypocrite and just admit his real intention which is to score political points against DAP and to win mileage for his faction.”

"In America, Islamic preacher Malcom X, who preached to Christians and entered their churches was shot dead but in Selangor an “unclean DAP politician” was dragged into the surau’s prayer room,” said Ibrahim.
He also said those who invited her were PAS and PKR Muslims and berated them for letting her deliver a ceramah to a Muslim congregation.

Malcom X is one of America most celebrated human rights activists who fought tirelessly for black rights and against apartheid. He was known for his fiery rhetoric as spokesman for Nation of Islam and his detractors had accused him of preaching racism, black supremacy, antisemitism, and violence.
In 1964, Malcolm left Nation of Islam and became a Sunni Muslim. He also made a pilgrimage to Mecca and when he returned, he disavowed racism.
In 1965, Malcom was assassinated by three gunmen while speaking at a New York meeting of the Organization of Afro-American Unity. Round after round of bullets were fired into his body after a man in the audience yelled, Nigger! Get your hand outta my pocket!. The trio were caught and later found to be members of Nation of Islam.
“Ibrahim Ali is giving Islam such an ugly face. As a Muslim, it hurts me to see Islam defaced by someone like him. I wish the authorities would something but it looks he is one of them,” Khalid said.
"Islam is a friendly religion and has always been. It is for all people to love and to treasure but Ibrahim and Umno only want to chase people away from it. They want to keep Islam just for the Malays and keep out the non-Malays because they believe this way, they can manipulate the Malay society and stay in power forever. But this is wrong, Islam is here for every human being to accept and to benefit from.”
