Dinar, Dirham and the Ghost Festival

Yesterday, I blogged about "Things that you may not know about the Ghost Festival" based on some tips from Apple Daily Hongkong, just so you don't burn all the afterlife money in vain.

According to Apple Daily (I try my best to say it in the Anglo way just so you may underdstand) : -

七月 鬼節 盂蘭節 鬼差 速遞 燒衣 繳 郵費
7th Month, Ghost Festival, Ghost Peon, Express Delivery, Clothes Incineration, Delivery Charges

The Ghost Festival @ Hungry Ghost Festival @ Chinese Halloween takes place during the Seventh Month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar (July). Regardless whether you are sending gifts (ie. burning paper clothes etc.) to your ancestors, or simply wanna donate something (charitable) to the 'homeless' stray ghosts, there are rules to follow. Else, everything you send (burn) may just end up in vain and serve no purpose whatsoever.

As result of the prevailing recession in Hell (tipped off by ancestors of the writer of this article), burning usable items (gifts made from paper) instead of money (Hell currency) is deemed the most practical approach for now, and also do not forget to tip the Hell Peon (ie. DHL Boy from Hell).

In the old days and not until paper was invented, people will bury their loved ones with gold bricks, gem and jewelry or perhaps use wooden gold bricks and jewelry made of alternative materials in lieu of the real stuffs just so one's ancestors can live prosperously in the afterlife (Hell).

Here is something for those who wonder why Chinese always say their ancestors are in Hell instead of Heaven? The Abrahamic faiths typically suggest you will go to Heaven to meet with your Maker when you die, and that Hell is really a spot for the really bad guys.

Not so in Chinese belief system.

Chinese believe Hell is the first place you will go after you depart from this world. Yes, everyone will have to go to Hell first. Why? Because there is where the Holy Supreme Court of Justice is located. There is where you will be judged if you will be reincarnated, promoted to become a Deity (in Heaven) and be subjected to torture and sufferings in Hell. Get it?

Okay, one more time. Chinese believe if you have been extremely good on earth, you will be enlightened and be deified to become a Holy Being (Deity) and get to stay in Heaven permanently. Else, if you are a so so person, the Holy Judge (He is the Justice God stationed in Hell) will send you back to earth via a Holy Process called Reincarnation. And if you have been bad, they will make you reincarnate as animal and if you have been good, you will be born to a well off family ... and so on and so forth in that direction.

If this is the case, then one's ancestor must be really bad if he or she is in Hell? Wrong. Beside those really bad ones such as the Mamak Gang, most souls do not get to be reincarnated immediately, everyone has to line up to take turn to be reincarnated. That explains why one ancestors are still in Hell (waiting to be reincarnation) and therefore, why the Chinese are sending gifts to the loved ones in the Hell.

Anyway, after paper technology emerged, Hell Gifts has undergone a paper revolution and virtually all gifts to Hell has been paperized ever since. In the beginning, paper was used to make things that cannot be burned such as Maids and Mansions. After all, worldly stuffs are full of Yang element and as such, no good for Hell. That's why all gifts to Hell must be thoroughly burned or incinerated until they have completely disappeared from our world in order to be applicable in Hell.

Here is the latest addition to the list of gifts to the Hell ... iPhone4 3G

■若果燒部 iPhone,地府又有否網絡覆蓋?

Ever wonder if you burn an iPhone, is there a compatible cellular network in Hell to make use of the latest gadget from Steve Job or not?

You bet.

According to legend, Hell Peon will help to deliver the gift wrapped in the secured parcel to the recipient in Hell, it's therefore advisable to put some "Streaming Bucks" (the plain Hell Dollar) on top of the gift as tips to the DHL Boy from Hell.

And whether you are burning the gift at home or at the cemetery, you should shout it out loud three times the name of the recipient: "Come to take your gift x 3" (not Correct x 3) before burning. And if you doing it in a temple, use a "Referral Bag", put the gift inside the bag and state it clearly on the exterior of the bag the name of the recipient, your name and the relationship between you and the recipient prior to burning. Else, the gift may go astray.

And if you do not follow the procedure mentioned above, your gifts may get stolen or looted by the Stray Ghosts or the Homeless Street Ghosts.

IMPORTANT

Ancestor of the writer of this article (not me) hinted in a dream that the Hell is now undergoing massive inflation, that's why it's no good to burn just money (Hell currency). It's better to burn usable or applicable stuffs like HDTV, iPhone, designer outfits, flashy cars and similar stuffs rather than hard cold cash because money simply can barely buy you anything in Hell due to the hyper-infaltion nowadays (obviously the Hell is run by a Zimbabwe like administration at the moment) .

Paying Respect To Our Ancestors

The Ghost Festival @ Chinese Halloween starts at 11:00PM on the 14th of the 7th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. And the optimum hour is between 11:00PM To 1:00AM (七月十四子時)

Beside burning stuffs for your ancestors, it's also advisable to burn something for the Stray Ghosts to accumulate some karma.

In theory, you may start burning as soon as the sun has set or the sky is dark. However, because the Hell Open House Day starts at 11:00PM on the 14th (Chinese lunar calendar 7th month July), which is also the eve of 15th July (翌日十五日也屬正日), it's the best to burn or incinerate the paper gifts during the 'Son Hour' (子時) ie. between 11:00PM To 1:00AM. It's precisely this day that all Hell Will Break Loose! ie. All Hell Gates will open up and all Ghosts are allowed to roam free in our world. That's precisely why it's the most effective to burn stuffs during this hours because the Ghost will rush out like kids looking for goodies, anything you burn at this hour will have the maximum impact as it will benefit the most number Ghosts. Good karma.

So, what has this gotta do with Dinar and Dirham, let alone Najib Administration?

Well, it simply mean there rules to follow even if it's stealing. Simply gasak will land you in Hell to suffer eternally. And as for Dinar and Dirham ... if you have been reading, you should know these coins aretheorectically NO GOOD.

The Dinar and Dirham are no good for Hell & Heaven

The Hell is experiencing hyper inflation, they need usable stuffs, not so much money, certainly not some coins that cannot be burned (processed for afterlife usage) and therefore, coins are craps!

About Hell Currency

Different Currency are meant for different afterlife beings ie. Ghosts, Hell Officers and Heaven Officers etc.

For example, the "Streaming Dollar" (the plain white ones) are meant for Stray Ghost loitering in the wild or as tips for the small time Hell Officers like Hell Peon a.k.a DHL Boy. And the 'Longevity Gold' (the one with gold foil) are meant for Deities, Gods, And Heavenly Beings ... Deep stuffs eh?
