BTN to blame for recalcitrant headmistress

Again, the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia Youth Section (Hua Zong Youth) urges the government to rectify or abolish the Biro Tata Negara (BTN) to stop it from poisoning the minds of the civil servants.

This is especially urgent when racial thinking has been spread in the educational sector because it will leave a great impact on our next generation.

Recently, there were racial remarks coming out from the mouth of principals in schools and Hua Zong Youth totally disagrees with such an act. Malaysia is going to celebrate her 53^rd National Day soon and yet we can't see harmony only hatred among the races.

BTN needs to hold the biggest responsibility for causing the racial tension that exists in the nation. Early this year, former special officer of the prime minister, Nasir Safar, had made racial remarks during a '1Malaysia' seminar held in Malacca.

In less than one year's time, the same thing happened again in public schools. This time, it is not enough for us to feel unfortunate anymore, we have to face the problem and abolish all agencies that spread racist thinking.

Hua Zong Youth believes that the problem will not be solved by asking the involved principals to be transferred elsewhere or resign because one's mind is developed through education and exposure to media information in the long period.

If we only chant about '1Malaysia' without monitoring the media, politicians and government agencies which cause the racial tension, it is believed that there are more people will be affected.

It has been more than fifty years since our country gained independence. In the past, all races have worked together to build up a truly harmonious society and our country has become a role model for multi-racial nations.

We cannot let racial thinking destroy our society so therefore there must be an institutionalised effort to abolish the BTN immediately.
