"UMNO is all about Cheating, Bullying & Stealing ?"

MARCH 25 — The more the sex video scandal is spread, the more corrupt the Malaysian politics will be.

Instead of the Japanese nuclear radiation crisis and the Libyan unrest, Malaysians have been concerned about a sex video over the past three days.

There is nothing impossible as Malaysian politics has corrupted to such a point where all conceivable means have been used.

As the citizens, have we ever thought about how would such shameless political means affect the country’s political development in the long run?

We have been enveloped in the atmosphere of moral panic. Should we sigh for the political unfortunate or join the hypocritical politicians?

At the moment, we are dubious about it as we can only use our unlimited imagination to picture the scene based on news reports as we cannot see or hear the video. We cannot judge whether the “protagonist” does really look and sound like the rumoured man?

To tell the truth, even if we have seen the video ourselves, can we be 100 per cent sure that he is the man?

Since we are not the person involved, how could we categorically determine that the man is not the man rumoured to be involved in the scandal?

Therefore, after the shock, we have fallen into confusion and do not know whether it is true or false. We also have no idea whether to believe it or not.

Like a bunch of fools, we have been placed in front of a stage by a group of politicians carrying their own motives, and stupidly watching the actors perform on the stage.

We are dumbfounded by the rumour accusing who the protagonist, director and writer are; the denial by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim; and the surprising press conference held by the mysterious “Datuk T”.

I can only say that in the current era when anything can happen, it is better for us to get mentally prepared before we are hit by more shocking news.

We have to stay calm and be strong when another ugly scene is staged. Otherwise, we might fall into hysterical anxiety and rumpus.

This is undoubtedly a splendid performance in the Malaysian political history. We can see one climax after another, together with the cooperation from politicians and the media, Malaysia has therefore entered a state of collective excitement.

We can hear applause and laughte, from foreign audiences who are watching the farce that we are playing.

And the show continues... — mysinchew.com
