Recognising Rebels

International relations and diplomacy is the epitome of hypocrisy of governments.

In BolehLand, those who sympathise with rebels are looked upon with great suspicion. Worse still the one who makes rebels who are communists as heroes are committing even greater treason against the nation, no?

When the Arab spring broke out and dictators began to tumble and the domino theory seem to sweep the Arab desert landscape, BolehLand leaders were quick to warn opportunist back home to not even think of trying to fan the sandstorm into Tanah Melayu.

Such warnings are followed by labelling those who oppose legitimately elected government and dictators as rebels. Doesn't matter if they are just ordinary folks, women or children, their marches are demonstrations. They are illegal and they are rebels for opposing the government and trying to overthrow it against the legitimate way - through the electoral process.

Back home in BolehLand, the warning was carried out and those who marched without a police permit, women and children are warned not to carry out illegal activities and the authorities will not hesitate to wallop those who break the law.

So if you label those who oppose in the Middle East as rebels and the way they overthrew democratically elected government and dictators, you surely shouldn't have anything to do with those who are now in the seat of power right?

Simply because these so called government are rebels who took power the illegal way. It is against international law and BolehLand never subscribe to such form of change of political power or process to legitimising one's political power.

So if we are to follow the logic of BolehLand's leaders that overthrowing governments via demonstrations and those who this route are termed rebels, the newly installed governments in Tunisia, Egypt and soon Libya are all controlled by rebels and illegal right? So there is no way we should be recognising these 'rebel' installed government, yes ?

According to! Bernama and reported in MsMedia, Malaysia has recognised the National Transitional Council (NTC) as the legitimate interim government in Libya.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said Malaysia was hopeful that the NTC, supported by the Libyan people, would govern the interim administration towards national unity, reconciliation, inclusiveness and reconstruction and would bring lasting peace and stability to Libya and its people.
The NTC is under the leadership of Mustafa Abdul Jalil and Mahmoud Jibril as well as other appointed members.
Malaysia joins other international voices in calling for the Gaddafi forces to submit to the choices of the majority of the Libyan people, Anifah said...Star Aug 21, 2011.

Rebels are cool to 1Malaysia?

So what do we make of the rush to recognise a government set up by rebels huh? Are rebels cool to 1Malaysia?

One suspects the rush to recognise even the African Union have not recognised this rebel government yet, is to safeguard our oil interest huh? Does Petronas has interests there?

When the Gadaffi was in power were we not kow towing to the Colonel, kissing and licking what not with an eye on the oil deals huh?

The Colonel was finger licking good for us to deal with then. Now the Colonel seems to be some dead stool chicken on the run. And BolehLand is probably regarding him a rebel now!

International diplomacy is the epitome of hypocrisy of governments. For economic interest, nations have recognised dictators, murderers and even communists. So what's adding rebels to the list huh?
Because it's about politics and we know that in politics your bed partner can turn enemy the next day and vice versa, recognising rebels isn't anything ! in confl ict with BolehLand's government. Even if in the beginning they warned against those who try to usurp political power via the legitimate way as rebels, they will recognise them as legitimate, huh?

So the opposition fellos must be breathing a sigh of relief that being laballed a rebel isn't that illegitimate because rebels have even been recognised as legitimate governments, no?

Gosh and we thought the previous leader was the father of all flip flopper huh?
YAHMEH!!!
