BolehSpeak Truth Either Way

In BolehLand, the last word is never the last word. When people and institutions we are told are credible and we can depend on to uphold the justice and tell the truth tell us this is how things are, we are expected to give it more credibility than say the man on the street or an accused or suspect.

So if the police or senior education officials tell us what is happening, we should give them the benefit of doubt no?

We know that a politician's word is as believable as a a person who is a wolf in sheep's clothing. So we should depend on other people and institutions are more credible and believable in what they say. Like the police or education officials right?

So when the Deputy IGP said that the most wanted BolehLand blogger at least by the authorities, Raja Petra gave his statement to the police in Bangkok, we common folks don't have such details as the event happened in a foreign land and besides no word from the person interviewed was reported when the DIGP made the statement as reported below:

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said Raja Petra Kamaruddin has given a police statement at the Malaysian Embassy in Bangkok.
He said that police officers from Bukit Aman recorded the statement from the Malaysia Today news portal operator.
"We asked him to give a statement and he agreed to assist the police," he told Bernama here Saturday.
Khalid said that Raja Petra was not arrested after giving the statement.
"There was no reason for us to arrest him as he cooperated by giving the statement," he said.
The statement was believed recorded at 8pm Thailand time (9pm Malaysian time) Saturday night. reported by online news Malaysian Chronicle as well as broadcast in local national stations.

But the man himself RPK as he is commonly known denied any such meeting or statement being recorded as reported in his blog here. RPK's short excerpt below:
After discussing the matter further, I told Haris and Amarjit that I will consent to my statement being recorded in spite of this utter confusion. They disagreed but finally relented on condition that I do not walk into the Malaysian embassy. This decision was relayed to ACP Aziz who lost his temper and said that he no longer wishes to take my statement.
I then phoned ACP Aziz to inform him that I volunteer to make my statement but he told me the same thing he told Haris, that he is no longer interested to take my statement.
And that was how the Bangkok drama ended at 2.00am this morning.
For the record, I am prepared to give my statement. My lawyers, however, disagree because the police are vague as to the reason my statement is required but will compromise on his matter as long as it is not at the Malaysian embassy. The police are adamant that it must be at the embassy.
So where do we go from here?

Ok, who is lying and who is telling the truth? The authority we are made to believe as defender of truth, law and justice in this case the DIGP or the controversial blogger whom the authorities have time and again reminded ordinary BolehLand fellos not to believe anything in blogs and cyberworld, which also possibly include 1Malaysia's blog?

So who is the liar here? Can anyone clarify? Let's hope is RPK because the DJIP has promised that 'bushy' roadblocks and traps will be done away with. And we are keeping our fingers crossed that he is telling the truth about the roadblocks as well as the RPK's statement recording in Bangkok?

Is round one DGIP 1 and RPK 0 in terms of who is telling the truth and who is lying?

And that also applies to the 'no bushy' roadblocks where DGIP scores 1 and 'bushy hidden roadblocks 0 huh?

The second case this week is about sending 'effeminate boys' to boot camp to help them return to normalcy and not turn to become gays or homosexuals just because they do not show macho straight behaviour whatever that means which is only known to the Ter! engganu educated officials.

The Star, April 20, 2011 reported that 'the Terengganu Education Department director Razali Daud maintained that the department had acted correctly.
He stressed that the boot camp was designed to prevent the boys from developing feminine traits which could hamper their future. The boys involved were selected from most schools in the state. They were carefully vetted before a final selection was made, he told The Star. He added that if such tendencies were not curbed at a young age, it would lead to bigger problems for them in the future.'

And four days later, the New Sunday Times, April 24, 2011 reported that 'Besieged by heavy criticism, especially in the foreign press, Razali claimed on Wednesday that the camp had nothing to do with anti-gay sentiment or efforts to change the boys' sexual preferences. Instead, he said, the character-building camp was part of the department's new Patriotism Integration Programme aimed at improving students' awareness of their duties to the nation. The first batch of participants just "happens to display some feminine tendencies", Razali said.'

So now we must blame the Ministry of Education then for organising such camps. Are not all those who are eligible for NS are required to attend NS irrespective if they are 'softie' or even handicap, or sickly as well as 'normal'. Why are they giving our 'softies' extra holistic camp programmes when they could all be sent to the NS camp later, huh?

So which of the above BolehSpeak is believable. Or is it in Bolehland when officialdom speaks, they are telling the truth either way where truth is truth and falsehood is also a truth that it is false and one should believe the truth instead? Confusing? Should be because true to BolehLand, there is nothing definite in what is spoken as it can be refuted by the same mouth that spoke it in the first place?

Should we accuse the public of being bias in not giving an ounce of benefit of doubt to institutions that are supposed to be cred! ible, be lievable, honest and trustworthy? The doublspeak phenomena that is now a part of BolehLand's life is a manifestation of the kind of sickness afflicting officialdom.

Are we not told we are a holy model religious nation? How our education system is the pride of others who want to emulate us and how our enforcement institutions have been successful in forging unity and all that?

Then we boasts KPI on crime is down, our corruption is down and how we fight corruption via the MACC is an envy to many nations rushing here to learn from us and how we are told to support our enforcement agencies because they are good men and not to allow a few bad durian to stink the whole bunch.

But if those in authority flip-flop and does not even admit to making errors but bury a deceit by another deceitful explanation, do we blame the public for being skeptical about which side of justice or truth do these people belong to, huh?

And what more of officials, top brass who develop amnesia and don't even remember they contradicted themselves!

The sad thing is no leader dare to admonish these high officials if they give contradictory statements or in short are lying through their teeth!

In BolehLand, it seems telling the truth and facing the truth is a huge huge sign of weakness and to save face, half truths and lies are told.

Those in authority still thing the people are really stupid gullible idiots. They probably think that with their firepower and authority that the chair gives them they are protected even if they tell lies?

It reflects either the whole institution is blind in terms of obedience to the leader or have been so brainwashed and trained for 52 years to just tow the line or else your rice bowl and that of your loved ones will be empty. Worse still you'd be eating in behind bars possibly?

Already, the credibility the public has on these two institutions are similar to those they have of polluticians. Are there no men of integrity at the high level? Is eve! ryone in authority trying to be politicians too, where they believe they are speaking the truth even if they are lying, which in a way is BolehSpeak Truth Either Way, right?

But the truth is, they make themselves liars and make a truth become a liar too! Do we blame the public for disbelieving their truth as well as their liars too?
YAHMEH!!!
