'Minority Report' now playing in Malaysia

'For an assembly to be illegal, you must have actually held the assembly. Where does it say in the law that expressing support for a future 'illegal' act is illegal?' Hisham declares Bersih T-shirt illegal Anonymous_4196: Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, why is wearing a T-shirt that represents the rakyat's struggle for free and fair elections illegal? How about just wearing a yellow T-shirt without any print? How about yellow trousers? How about wearing the yellow Digi teletubby mascot outfit? What if the polis 'suka-suka' (on a whim) arrest me for having something yellow on? Solaris: Communists in Malaya/Malaysia were referred to as 'reds'. If it's illegal to wear certain coloured clothes related to an alleged illegal activity, why is it that Umno members are allowed to wear red T-shirts and behave like terrorists outside the PKR headquarters on Monday night? Dood: I hope the police have enough place in their lock-ups to detain tens of t...

The truth is we have "bribed" ... ? He has been bribed big time and he is expected to be booted ... ? from Free Malaysia Today » Nation by Tashny Sukumaran New York Times report on Lynas plant in Kuantan KUALA LUMPUR: Lynas Corporation today rejected allegations in the New York Times that its rare earth plant in Kuantan has construction problems and that its design is environmentally hazardous. “There is no truth at all to the report,” said the company’s executive chairman, Nicholas Curtis, at a press conference here. “There will of course be technical queries in the normal course of a large scale construction operation that engineers have to debate, but all engineers involved in this operation are now completely comfortable with the solutions put forward.” He gave the example of the 90 kilometres of piping the plant would use. The New York Times quoted engineers as saying that almost all of the pipes ordered were made from standard steel and unsuitable for the corrosive s...

Election Commission: Crooks Are Cool ?

EC shoots down Bersih’s demands ahead of rally from The Malaysian Insider :: Malaysia by praba@themalaysianinsider.net KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — The Election Commission (EC) has dismissed several key reform demands of election watchdog Bersih, days before the July 9 rally. This is despite repeated calls by the commission for Bersih to call off the march and meet them to discuss Bersih’s demands. Bersih is pushing for a free and fair election system, and has listed eight demands which includes the need for automatic registration, use of indelible ink when voting, and the need for a longer campaigning period. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wira Wan Ahmad charged that implementing automatic voter registration contravened the “spirit of democracy”, and would involve amending Article 119 of the federal constitution which would be an “arduous” task. “Those who designed the constitution, placed importance of freedom of choice whether or not to vote. We don’t practice mandatory voting in this country...

Lynas Toxic Plant Approved ... IAEA Is A Moron.

Fuziah: IAEA report raises doubts over Lynas plant from The Malaysian Insider :: Malaysia by praba@themalaysianinsider.net Anti-Lynas protesters outside the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur May 20 2011. — Picture by Jack Ooi KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — While Putrajaya and Lynas Corp say an international panel has found the Australian miner’s rare earth refinery safe, Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh is insisting that the report has raised several questions over the RM700 million plant in Gebeng. The PKR vice president said the panel led by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) only stated it was “not able to identify any non-compliance” with international safety standards and also outlined “10 issues for which it considered that improvements were necessary.” “All the data was submitted by Lynas so of course there is no non-compliance. If you read between the lines, the report contradicts itself, where it qualifies that there are many areas which are doubtful,” she told The Mala...

UMNO: NYT lies. We'd sue them.

Putrajaya should probe not dismiss NYT’s Lynas report, says Fuziah from The Malaysian Insider :: Malaysia KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh flayed the Najib administration today for dismissing offhand a New York Times report claiming that Lynas Corp’s rare earth plant in Gebeng is being plagued by design problems and hazardous construction issues. The PKR vice president said that it was unsurprising that the company made a swift denial of the NYT article after the government had appeared to ignore the claims in the article published today. “MITI is responsible for bringing in the plant and it is the government’s duty to monitor and regulate it. How can they pass the buck straight to Lynas?” said Fuziah, who has been leading the charge against the controversial RM700 million plant that has raised fears of radiation pollution in and around her constituency. Regulators Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) had refused to comment on the report while International Trade and I...

While all of us, citizens and the police alike, are going completely bonkers about the planned rally by BERSIH on 9th July, allow me to touch on the subject a bit today. The government has surely gone drunken-ape about this planned rally. It has, among others, declared that yellow t-shirts with the word BERSIH printed on them are illegal. The IGP, feeling left out, later chipped in to warn that buses, shoes and umbrellas with markings which support the rally which according to him is an illegal act is seditious. See here and here for full reports respectively. And so people wearing t-shirts are arrested. The word BERSIH has become a dirty one. Activists have also been arrested. The police on the other hand has been busy churning out ridiculous amount of laughing gas every time it attempted to justify the clampdown on the planned rally. Firstly, they claimed it was a communist plot to overthrow the government. Then it was the fact that BERSIH was being funded by Christian groups ...

Holy cow, can you believe the home minister?

'Hishammuddin has perfected the art of lying whilst in a stupor. What is happening certainly does not reflect what he says.' 'Yes, yes, yes', cops will act against Umno Youth DannyLoHH: I hear the words. But I did not see the action. Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali who issued threats of violence and bloodshed still walks free. Umno Youth's Lokman Noor Adam and Arman Azha Abu Hanifah who had openly threatened to burn down PKR HQ office still walk free. There is still yet any action taken to the perpetrator that sent SMS death threat to S Ambiga and the Bersih steering committee members. The names mentioned and person indicated here have all committed criminal offences, but the police allowed them to roam free on the street. Yet people wearing Bersih T-shirt are being detained and arrested with dubious charges like waging war against the Agong, Printing Presses and Publications Act and Sedition Act. Is the police telling the public that demanding free and fair elections is...

Why no raids on Perkasa and Umno Youth?

Image
'Umno and Perkasa are showing unruly behaviour with their threats of violence, bloodshed, and arson. Yet the office that got raided is Bersih's.' Bersih HQ raided, 7 staff arrested SMC77: Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and PM Najib Razak must take note. It is PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) and BN which are inciting fear and chaos at this upcoming gathering. If there is any crime committed by any party, it can only be PDRM and BN. If the BN and PDRM refuse to let the rakyat to voice out their concern and anger, they are forcing the rakyat to turn the peaceful gathering into a violent protest that could lead to the same outcome as we have seen in Egypt and other parts of the Muslim world in recent months. Kee Thuan Chye: Why raid only the Bersih secretariat? Why not raid those of Perkasa and Umno Youth as well since they will also be holding rallies? My fellow Malaysians, please take note of this practice of double standards and relate it to everyone you know so they may...

NO-PARKINGSIGN CAUSE TEACHER IN ICU?

Image
ERECTED..The dangerous sign board pole erected on road surface By : DAP MEDIA A ROAD-SIGN pole erected on the road surface in Damai, Kota Kinabalu is the cause of a fatal accident that put a kindergarten teacher into hospital Sunday night. The young teacher in her thirties was admitted to the hospital with serious head injury and now she is still in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). The signage is believed to be a No-Parkingsign. According to people who saw the accident, a truck passed by the corner of the shop where the driver did not see the pole planted on the road corner, ramped and knocked against it. She was knocked head on instantly by the sign-board pole. She and two other teachers were walking along the pavement (Kaki-Lima) near the shop a few feet away from the road side. The identity of the lorry was not known, because he fled from the scene. Her condition is critical and due to the serious head injury, she is put under closed observation in the ICU. For I Beheld Satan

SEE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE HERE : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QfEUSAjIA4 "For I beheld Satan and befell from heaven like lightning" - Luke 10:18 I see things have gone upside down today. Never before I have seen people arrested for nothing apart from wearing t-shirts, carrying pamphlets or selling anything that is yellow. And that offense was never mentioned in any of the law books. The cops are to be damned. Many have sold off their moral ethics in for subservient to the ruling regime. They do whenever they are told, even if its wrong of all aspects. It is clear that the Devil is running the roost today. And God is not here today for there was no things that turn and set it right. It reminded me of Raul Julia's final line in his movies before his tragic death from stroke. I thought of writing something else, but I didn't have the time to write it. If I can, maybe in the morning before work, I supposed. See the video here . - A Little Taffer's Room

World is taking stock of Najib's inability to handle Bersih

Image
The Home Minister of Malaysias outright ban on the wearing of anything yellow be it a T-shirt, shoes, pants or skirts, headband, or whatsoever, is imparting shockwaves down the spine of caring, concerned citizens. The Home Ministers announcement and the immediate police action that went into over-drive with premises raided, will be ringing alarm bells all over the world for certain. The learned professor from the International Islamic University in Malaysia has in all honesty and with courage pointed out that there is no law in the country to effect such a ban. And that the highest law of a democratic nation - the Constitution of Malaysia is being compromised. The authorities are claiming that this mother of all bans on wearing anything yellow and suggesting Bersih 2.0 is being invoked for national security. Simultaneously more threats are being pumped out of the governments nozzle i.e. the police, the various pro-UMNO and BN agentries and from the corriodors of vested interests. Arr...

Yellow Is Indeed Very Dangerous, Youve Been Warned

Image
G osh, this is getting ridiculous but yet hilarious. While everybody knows Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak, is super-panic with the coming Bersih 2.0 (Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections) rally this coming July 9, nobody would guess his administration would become as paranoid as now. Not only his cousin, Home Minister Hishammuddin, was allergic to T-shirt with pictures of figures such as the long-dead Argentine revolutionary figure Che Guevara, the whole government is now allergic to yellow fever - yellow T-shirts. One would fell off his/her chair laughing when the Home Minister took the easy way out by declaring whatever the Bersih participants wear are now illegal. You must be wonder why you cant become the Home Minister yourself since it doesnt take much intelligence, let alone academic qualifications to hold such position (*grin*). It seems the whole government now is constipating and whatever yellow would trigger their hormone that the communists are attacking them. ...
