Khairy: Fight like Churchill, never surrender!


Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin has harked back in history - all the way to World War II - as he opened the wing's general assembly this morning with a fiery speech.

azlanHe likened the next general election to World War II, in which Britain - which he compared to the BN - had fought and resisted the Axis powers (read: Pakatan Rakyat).

"Let us remember the moment World War II erupted, the time when the Axis powers were close to reaching British shores, when British Prime Minister Winston Churchill fuelled the fighting spirit of his people.

"Bitter moments between two possibilities, between two futures, between light and darkness. This warrior did not falter, did not fear, and so he vowed: his country will fight at sea, in the air, on the beaches and even on the streets itself. Even starved and subjugated, his country would never surrender!"

Its not strange that this UMNO type considers Churchill an example to be followed.

Churchill, besides being the host of a whole bunch of evil deeds, was the supreme rascist.

He was in favor of use of poison gas on "uncivilized tribes" and sanctioned use of mustard gas on Iraqi women and children.

Recently, President Obama returned the Churchill bust from the White House. Obama's father was tortured in Africa during British Imperial rule, and Churchill.

I know UMNO types are not know for being intelligent, but could they at least educate themselves a little before opening their mouths.

In any civilized country, his fellow supporters would cringe at his choice of heroes. But not, I guess, in Bolehland.
